N-Butyl Acetate (NBAC)

N-butyl acetate is a chemical compound with a  chemical formula C6H12O2. It is a colorless liquid with a banana flavor. Mixes with all popular organic solvents (alcohols, ketones, glycols, esters), with a limited water-solubility.

Method of obtaining 
Most commonly n-butyl acetate is obtained in the esterification of the butanol isomer and acetate, which warms up in the presence of a strong acid (such as sulphuric acid).

Application 
N-butyl acetate is used in producing paints and varnishes, coatings, beauty products and in the pharmaceutical industry.

Storage and transport
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place away from oxidants.
For transport purposes, it is classified as a flammable liquid with fire hazard rating 2. This product has packing group 3.
